The making of a Designa porcelain slab is a carefully choreographed process — a symphony of precision, energy, and time. It begins with the careful selection and refinement of raw materials sourced from around the world. Kaolin, feldspar, silica, and minerals are combined in perfect ratios, refined through our proprietary purification process to achieve maximum purity.
Once refined, the materials are atomized into ultra-fine granules using spray-drying technology, resulting in a uniform powder ready for pressing. Hydraulic presses transform this powder into dense porcelain bodies — a moment of transformation where science meets craftsmanship.
The green body then undergoes digital glazing, where advanced print heads and controlled application systems impart design, color, and surface depth. After glazing, the slabs are fired in multi-channel kilns, reaching temperatures that ensure complete vitrification — the process that gives porcelain its legendary hardness and water resistance.
Following firing, each slab passes through precision calibration and nano-polishing lines. These systems create finishes ranging from ultra-matte to mirror gloss, textured, satin, and leather-touch — enabling designers to explore limitless creative directions.
Every slab that bears the Designa name undergoes more than 30 quality checks, measured against international standards for strength, flatness, color consistency, and surface perfection. Our in-house laboratories test mechanical resistance, thermal shock stability, slip performance, and color fastness under UV and chemical exposure.
Each phase of production is fully traceable through our ERP-integrated systems — ensuring accountability and transparency from raw material to final delivery. Designa’s commitment to quality has earned it the trust of architects, developers, and importers across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Our facilities are designed to minimize environmental impact through energy-efficient kilns, waste heat recovery systems, and closed-loop water recycling. Solar panels power portions of our operations, and our goal is to expand renewable energy integration across all eight facilities by 2030 as part of our Designa Green Vision.
